Spiral supracondylar fracture from arm wrestling

X-ray of the elbow showing raised anterior fat pad and posterior fat pad. Presence of the anterior fat pad may be normal (elevation indicating a joint effusion). Presence of the posterior fat pad is always abnormal, indicating a fracture. In adults, the most common fracture is a radial head fracture (as in the above film). In children, the most common fracture is a supracondylar fracture.
